First Weekend of June Nearshore Fishing Update
The first week of june has arrived, and with the closing of snook season, it signals the advance of thousands of snook out into the inlets and onto the beaches to spawn. This week before the biblical rain moved in, we got out for a couple of trips and were able to get upwards of 20 snook fishing near the beach, with a few 40" class snook mixed in. Also, in a few hours in the afternoon we got into a nice nearshore bite with a lot of bonito, kingfish, and a couple of large cobia. Of course we had bull shark and goliath grouper action mixed in. Fishing is starting to get really good, and with the summer rains it brings a lot of opportunity for good snook and tarpon action at the inlet and on the beaches.
